BlueCheck is the industry-leading 3rd Party Age Verification system that helps us comply with Federal and State law to keep our products out of the hands of minors.
FDA regulations require that any company that sells vape or e-cig products verify that all purchasers are at least 18 years of age starting August 8th, 2016 (California's STAKE Act requires at least 21 years starting June 9th, 2016).
If the customer is under the age of 27, we must verify their age with a photo ID. This means that a retailer must verify a customer each time, even if they are a frequent customer.
The US Government's PACT Act requires retailers what technologies can be used, and how they need to be controlled. Under the PACT Act, retailers need to be using specific database technologies to verify their customers. Additionally, the retailer selling vapor products aren't able to control the database used to verify them.
This means we are required to use a 3rd Party system.
BlueCheck follows US Government DHS-4300-A standards for Sensitive data.
What Information Do We Need
The basic requirements for what you will need to provide for verification are:
- Please be sure that you use the exact same name every time you go through the age verification process.
- Any change in name, including capitalizations, could cause you to have to verify your identity more than once.
- Date of Birth
- Phone Number
- Last 4 Digits of Social Security Number (Optional)
- If you prefer to not verify with SSN, you can use your ID
Please note: If this is your first time verifying your age and you are under 27, you will be required to submit a picture of your Official Government-Issued ID and a selfie of you and the same ID to verify you have it in your possession.
However, if Blue Check is unable to 100% verify that you are of age to receive vaping related products, you will have to submit a picture of your Official Government-Issued ID and a selfie of you and the same ID, regardless of your age.
Once you have been verified once, you should be able to make further orders without going through the entire process again. However, if any of your information changes on your next order (such as different capitalizations of letters in your name), you could be asked to go through the age verification process again.
